The Singapore Bicentennial was created to look back at the moments that have come to define the island from as far back as 1299. PLUS responded to the Prime Minister’s Office’s call for proposals with plans for an exhibition that conveyed Singapore’s rich history in a manner that was impactful, immersive, and educational.

Singapore’s history was made real by letting guests experience its key moments in complete immersion. PLUS identified 5 visitor archetypes through user research, and designed the experience to continually appeal to their different engagement styles. Guests would be engaged on multiple levels throughout the exhibition across varied interaction points, such as first-person projection mapping, reconstructed environments, and method actors bringing the past to life.
