In celebration of its 70th anniversary, CPF Board engaged us to create an exhibition that would reconnect with the public by highlighting the people-centric nature of its journey. Rather than focus solely on policy milestones, the exhibition took this moment as an opportunity to show how CPF’s evolution — from its earliest schemes to its most recent changes — has always been shaped around the needs, aspirations, and lived realities of Singaporeans.

To mark CPF’s 70th anniversary, we curated an exhibition that invited visitors to reflect on how the Board’s evolution has always been shaped by people: members, employees, and the wider populace. Stories were gathered from every decade of CPF’s existence, capturing the diverse ways it has supported Singaporeans and the lives shaped through its policies. These stories formed the emotional core of the exhibition, turning abstract systems into lived experiences.

We then translated this spirit into spatial form. Guided by five visitor archetypes, we designed a range of touchpoints including personal artefacts, reflective spaces, interactive stations, and large-scale installations. Each element was carefully arranged to support different ways of engaging, remembering, and connecting.

CPF70’s opening was celebrated alongside the launch of a commemorative book detailing its history and attended by the people who’ve shaped its’ history, from former volunteers to Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

Over the course of the exhibition, visitors learnt about the ways CPF has evolved to support them. Touched by the personal narratives presented, they left with a greater connection to the organisation, and the millions of others impacted by its work.
