The Teachers’ Conference and Excel Fest 2025 set out to unite educators in exploring how to prepare students for a rapidly changing future. The challenge was to design a large-scale, multi-format programme that felt accessible and navigable to every teacher, whether they were attending in person or online. PLUS created an environment where participants could move seamlessly between sessions, connect with peers, and access resources that would continue to support their learning long after the event.

We engaged teachers across a wide spectrum of formats. A secure online portal allowed MOE teachers to register for sessions, preview open classrooms and learning journeys, and interact through comment boards and chat. Onsite, we ensured a smooth and welcoming experience through a striking plenary setup, clear wayfinding, and lively fringe activities between sessions. The programme was deliberately structured to balance scale with accessibility: over 20 concurrent in-person sessions and more than 25 concurrent online sessions ran in parallel, while all content remained available until the end of 2025 for continued learning.

The opening of TCEF2025 marked the start of three days of intensive learning, anchored by keynote addresses from international leaders in Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Across the festival, we managed nearly 600 sessions with 18,600 attendees and 1,292 presenters. From participant-led unconferences to hands-on workshops, the formats created opportunities for collaboration and exchange.
